You have until 26 October 2026 to correct the 730 form and recover, when due, up to 1,200 euros of supplementary treatment, the tax benefit also known as the former Renzi bonus. The deadline concerns taxpayers who have already submitted their tax return and must amend it in their favor.
The supplementary treatment can reach 100 euros per month, for a maximum of 1,200 euros per year. It is generally recognized directly on the pay slip, but in some cases it may have been paid only partially or not been paid, even if the requirements are met.
Former Renzi bonus, who is entitled to the 1,200 euros
For 2025 incomes, the benefit is available, under certain conditions, to employees and holders of certain similar incomes with a total income of up to 15,000 euros.
Even those with an income between 15,000 and 28,000 euros can be entitled to it, but only when specific conditions related to tax deductions are met. Over 28,000 euros the supplementary treatment is not payable.
The amount actually recoverable depends on the period worked, income, applicable deductions and any sums already received.
October 26th deadline: how to recover the bonus
Anyone who has already submitted form 730/2026 and discovers an error against them can contact a Caf or a qualified professional to submit a supplementary 730 by Monday 26 October.
The procedure is permitted when the correction involves a greater credit, a lower debt or leaves the tax unchanged.
To verify the right to the benefit it is necessary to check the 2026 Single Certification, relating to 2025 income, the pay slips and the declaration already sent.
What happens after October 26th
The October 26 deadline specifically concerns the supplementary form 730, but does not represent the absolute last chance to correct the declaration.
In fact, the Revenue Agency provides for the possibility of submitting the corrective Income model by 2 November 2026. Subsequently, in the foreseen cases, it is possible to use the supplementary Income model.
Recovery is not automatic: before requesting reimbursement you must verify that the supplementary treatment was actually due and has not already been fully recognised.
