Cateno De Luca will return to speak at a press point this morning in Rome and will do so on the street, in Piazza Montecitorio, with at his side the only “real” deputy from South Calls North, Francesco Gallo, and the president of the party, Laura Castelli. After the agreement with Fratelli d’Italia he became the politician of the moment. «Ready to drop some “bombs” and important news», assures the usual “Scateno”, now projected into a national dimension that will have its culmination in a couple of weeks, in the three days from 27 to 29 October, when the national assembly of South calls North and that of the “Mayors of Italy” movement will be held in Rome, with which a common path is now certain.
The pact with Giorgia Meloni did not go unnoticed, with the “loan” of the two deputies who made it possible to create the South calls North component in the Mixed Group: the true Melonian Manlio Messina and above all Luca Sbardella, commissioner of Fratelli d’Italia nell’Isola. This is why the national agreement, which so far does not concern Sicily, is quite controversial on this side of the Strait. Today in Messina the board of Fratelli d’Italia will meet and, probably, Sbardella himself will be in connection, and the group leader of FdI in the Municipality, Libero Gioveni, reiterates: «The voters wanted us in the opposition and we will be in the opposition».
The barbs from Tommaso Calderone, coordinator of the Vannaccia supporters of Futuro Nazionale in Sicily, also continue: «As was predictable, the agreement between FdI and ScN is triggering discontent, accompanied by an authentic exodus, especially in Sicily, where the only party of the Constitutional arc that embodies the true values of the Right is Futuro Nazionale. I register great discontent from many quarters, especially within Fratelli d’Italia, where the base can never digest an agreement with Cateno De Luca”. Francesco Gallo himself responded to him: «These statements make you smile. After having thrown mud on the case of the signatures of Messina and Barcelona and having been denied by the TAR, he is now attacking by inventing fake news. But the latest post-agreement polls see ScN growing, while he has already lost mayors who have chosen not to follow him.” The reference seems to be to Gianni Pino, mayor of San Filippo del Mela. One of the founders of “Mayors of Italy”.
