Messina still a protagonist on the international scene of Paralympic table football. The trip to Germany of the Italian national team at the ITSF World Series Leonhart 2026 is enriched by an extraordinary result for Mediterranea Eventi, which celebrates the gold medal won by Daniele Costantino with the blue jersey, in one of the most important events on the international calendar.
The event, held from 14 to 18 October in Saarbrücken, brought together some of the world’s best interpreters of the discipline. A stage of the highest level in which the presence of Messina athletes takes on an even more important meaning, confirming the path of sporting growth carried out by the club.
What makes the result even more significant is the participation in the Italian expedition of four members of Mediterranea Eventi: Daniele Costantino, Antonino Fiannacca, Francesco Vento and Francesca Aragona, the latter in the role of coach of the women’s Italian team. Fiannacca also holds the prestigious position of Ambassador of Paralympic table football in Italy on behalf of the FPICB.
Four presences that testify to the quality of the work carried out by the Messina company, capable of contributing to the growth of the national Paralympic movement through its athletes and its technical skills, while promoting the name of Messina also internationally.
Daniele Costantino’s success represents the highest moment of this experience. Winning the gold medal with the Italian national team rewards the athlete’s talent, determination and work, confirming the ability of Mediterranea Eventi players to compete at the highest levels even beyond national borders.
A result that takes on an even more important value in the context of an Italian expedition which, as highlighted by the company, recorded a historic en plein in the races played.

Costantino’s gold medal is part of a season full of satisfactions, which has already seen Mediterranea Eventi win two Italian titles and three podiums at the FPICB Championships in Jesolo. A path that confirms the growth of a group that is increasingly a protagonist in national competitions and in Italian representation at international events.
