Through major sporting events, many territories manage to emerge and relaunch their image in the world. It could also happen for Reggio and once again tennis offers the right opportunity, thanks to one of the largest sports halls in Italy and a tennis club, the “Polimeni” which can already boast a strong accreditation in terms of international events. We talked about it with the president of “Sport e Salute”, Marco Mezzaroma, one of the people most involved in the organization of the Next Gen ATP Final which will be played from 9 to 13 December. «The government is investing a lot in the South – he told us – using major sporting events represents a driving force because they represent, in terms of tourist attractiveness and promotion of the territories, a very, very effective tool. We saw it as the Mediterranean Games, we are seeing it with the America’s Cup, even in the preliminary regattas. It was right and important to invest in Calabria and Reggio in particular will give a response worthy of the international event such as the Next Gen ATP Finals.”
