The second edition of “Miticu!”, The Festival of myth and Greek culture dedicated to Dionysus triumphs in Locri. Organized by Gal Terre Locridee under the patronage of the Municipalities of Locri and Portigliola and the Mic – National Archaeological Park of Locri Epizefiri, the event gathered a careful and passionate audience for four days in the court of the city palace.
The opening was entrusted to the greetings of Francesco Macrì, president of the Gal Terre Locridee, on Sunday Bumbaca, councilor for culture of Locri, of Rocco July, mayor of Portigliola, and of Francesco Riccio, creator of the Festival. Immediately after Laura Bigoni interpreted the Homeric hymn to Dionysus, accompanied by the dancers of the school evolves on the original music of Celestino Rossi.
On the first day the report of the philosopher Ester Cerbo explored the “terrible and sweet” face of the god, followed by the round table “The mask of Dionysus” with experts from Pisa, Crotone, Calabria and Reggio Calabria.
