“AI enters the company: tools and resources for SMEs” was held today, a meeting promoted by A2A in collaboration with Unindustria Calabria, aimed at encouraging innovation and the diffusion of artificial intelligence in SMEs in the area.
The event opened with institutional greetings from Aldo Ferrara, President of Unindustria Calabria, and Roberto Tasca, President of A2A, followed by speeches from Gianluca Fabbri, professor of the Luiss Business School, Filippo Cipparrone of Confindustria Calabria, and, in closing, Patrick Oungre, CEO of A2A Life Ventures.
Training and access to financing for businesses
The occasion represented a moment of discussion and training on new technologies and their applications in production processes in order to support companies in the processes of adopting AI-based solutions.
During the event, tools capable of encouraging the start of concrete and measurable projects were proposed and the paths to access the resources and funding available at European, national and regional level were illustrated.
The strategic value of AI for Italian SMEs
“Companies with fewer than 50 employees represent 99% of the Italian productive fabric, but only a share equal to 1.4% has so far integrated artificial intelligence systems into their industrial processes. In this context, the adoption of digital technologies and AI represents a fundamental strategic lever to support growth and competitiveness”, explained Roberto Tasca, President of A2A.
“Aware of the difficulties that small and medium-sized businesses encounter in accessing these innovations, we have chosen to promote an initiative at a territorial level: in fact, we believe that our role is not only to develop and implement advanced solutions, but also to encourage their concrete and accessible diffusion by bringing our concrete experiences back to the territories.”
A seven-stage tour for territorial innovation
The meeting in Catanzaro represents the first of a cycle of events in 7 stages organized by A2A in collaboration with the territorial representations of Confindustria which will be held between April and November 2026.
