Long day of meetings and some progress in the dispute that concerns the approximately one thousand employees of the company Abraham Care dispute. «The hope – explains governor Roberto Occhiuto – is to complete the hiring by December 15th». The Region – creator of the project for the reskilling of those who work in call centers, who will then be used for the dematerialisation of the medical records of Calabrians -, which has allocated 15 million euros for this initiative (to which must be added another 5 million euros put in by the national government), has created and published one-stop notices to encourage the hiring of workers in a state of unemployment or redundancy.

The State Printing Institute is moving forward with the expression of interest to select the companies that will materially take care of this activity commissioned by the Region, and in a few days it will communicate the outcome of the tender, assigning the order to Poste, Tim, or to both. «During today’s discussion (yesterday, ed.) Tim, present as a company involved in the Abramo affair, expressed its willingness – these are Occhiuto’s words again – to immediately start the actions linked to the takeover of a new supplier in the activities of the back office business and identified, as part of a competitive procedure, in Konecta Group the supplier responsible for managing this service. Tim, when asked about the dematerialisation activities of the health records of the Calabria Region, declared its full availability, if it were awarded the public tender launched by the State Printing Office, to proceed promptly by entrusting it to one of the companies that expressed interest in carrying out these activities. Callmat has expressed interest in carrying out the dematerialisation activity and has therefore confirmed its full availability to perform the related services should it be identified in the competitive procedure. The table will be updated in the next few days, after Poligrafico dello Stato has concluded all the procedures relating to the assignment of the service”.

What the agreement provides

The provincial secretary of the Uil of Crotone, Fabio Tomaino, revealed the details of the plan agreed during yesterday’s meeting at the Ministry of Business. According to what was agreed at the Mimit table – reports Tomaino – approximately 300 employees will be absorbed by Konecta, a company controlled by Tim, which will be assigned the Business and Fibercop orders that until now the telephone company had entrusted to Abramo.
