The project of the establishment of the new province of Sibaritide is reinforced to which the council commission is working specifically constituted by the will of the Administration of Corigliano Rossano. The project, in fact, can count on renewed and convinced adhesions such as that of the Municipality of Pietrapaola. Precisely for this reason, the president of the temporary autonomy of the local autonomy for the establishment of the new province, Tonino Uva has summoned the body for next Tuesday 30 at 16:00 in the Room Rigo in the municipal headquarters of Piazza Anargini in the historic center of Rossano to treat this topic. Last Wednesday 17, in fact, the City Council of Pietrapaola confirmed its adhesion to the project. Already in 1989 the Municipality of Pietrapaola had joined the then Istituenda new province of Sibaritide Pollino. As can be seen and underlines in the recent resolution of the Municipality of Lower Jonio Cosentino, this administrative path has begun more than thirty years ago with the adhesion of many municipalities to provide the territory of a tool of administrative autonomy to an area that has, in fact, homogeneous political, social, economic and territorial characteristics.
