Caronte and Tourist Minor Islands, a company that guarantees the connections by ship with the Aeolian islands, will be subject to administrative penalties as “autonomous and non -solidarity transgressor” if it will release the ticket to tourists with cars that are not in possession of a certificate that certifies their stay on the islands of the greater eolian municipality, for a period not less than seven days, as required by the decree of the President of the Sicilian Region, governing the influx in the islands of motor vehicles.
This was deliberated by the municipal council of Lipari, chaired by the mayor Riccardo Gullo. The resolution follows the meeting of 1 August of the Provincial Committee Order and Public Security.
Administrative sanctions range from a minimum of 430 euros, in the event of first infringement, to a maximum of 1731 euros in the event of a fourth or more infringement.
