Moments of wonder in the waters of the Aeolian Islands, where a group of German tourists on vacation sighted a sperm whale of about 20 meters. The meeting, reported by our collaborator Salvatore Sarpi, took place in the stretch of sea between Panarea and Stromboli, an area often frequented by cetaceans but in which it is not common to observe specimens of this dimensions.

The majestic marine mammal remained visible for several minutes, giving those present an unforgettable experience. The sighting once again confirms the naturalistic wealth of the archipelago, an ideal habitat for species of great charm and ecological importance. The Aeolians are confirmed thus not only not only prestigious tourist destination, but also a privileged place for those who want to admire the extraordinary biodiversity of the Mediterranean closely.
