This was said by the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, speaking to journalists in Lamezia Terme on the sidelines of a meeting promoted by Confagricoltura Calabria.

Perhaps there are still residues of these criminal activities, but today we talk about Calabria as a land capable of producing good, of producing the good, of knowing how to sell it and of creating wealth and work. Today – concluded the Minister of Agriculture – there is an extraordinary event like Vinitaly and the City in Sibari, which allows us to increase the value of wine, an exceptional product of our lands, alongside oil, the green gold that our producers bring to national and international markets”.
Absolute export record for Italy
Lollobrigida then added: «Absolute export record for Italy -72.4 billion – achieved thanks to the great work of the companies, but also to the ability to promote them as a system by organizing large international fairs through ICE, missions that allowed us to strengthen the markets in which we were but also to open new ones. The results – continued Lollobrigida – are visible and before everyone’s eyes, at least those who don’t want to hide them. There is, for example, an exceptional fact: in 2024 Italian agriculture, overtaking France and Germany, has become the first European agriculture for added value, that is, for the ability to give the right economic value to what our agricultural entrepreneurs produce with their work every day”.
“No one has ever invested like us”

I’m starting today with a meeting in an extraordinary company together with Confagricoltura, to address issues related to the possibilities, potential and also the problems that continue to exist in a sector that has been abandoned for decades.” This was said by the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida.
«Today – added Lollobrigida – we can say with certainty that, in three years, this government has established itself as capable of revolutionizing the agricultural model, investing more than any other in republican history, simplifying the rules, increasing forms of protection and obtaining valuable results. Naturally – added the minister – the credit always goes to our farmers, but also to the work of the government, which accompanied them on this path.
Lollobrigida then referred to the collaborative relationship with the territories: «I consider this an obvious fact and I have not forgotten it. If this was not done in the past, it is because the needs and requests of the population were not known to be represented correctly. The constant comparison with the issues that emerge in society – concluded the minister – must be brought back to Parliament by the people’s representatives; whoever does not do so betrays his mandate.”
“Preferences? They will be discussed in the Senate”
