Ettore Bonanno’s declaration

Enthusiastic about the initiative, Ettore Bonanno, head of Meridian threads, underlines the importance of events like this for the enhancement of the Arbëreshe identity:

“Our cuisine is a heritage made of memory, sharing and belonging. Through food we tell our history and our culture, with the awareness that traditions must be experienced and handed down. This evening is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the flavors of Arbëria and rediscover dishes that speak of roots, ties and territories. We are happy to be able to help make this extraordinary gastronomic legacy known.

The protagonist of the show cooking, Rosina Marra, a profound connoisseur of Arbëreshe cuisine, expresses her emotion in being able to share her knowledge:

“For me to cook means to tell who we are. Each dish of our tradition has a history, a family memory, a link with the past. I am happy to be able to show how some of the oldest dishes of our culture are prepared and rediscover the value of the food made with your hands, with the heart and respect for tradition. It will be a special evening, in which food will speak for us. I want to thank Lucia Martino of Frasicneto, president of the Ass. Vorea for the precious advice and for sending me the secrets of the Shridhëlat “.
