It took place on Friday evening, at the “Vittoria” gallery on the SS 106 “Jonica”, in the territory of the Municipality of Montegiordano, an emergency exercise organized by Anas in collaboration with the Prefecture of Cosenza, the firefighters, the police, 118 and the local civil protection structures.
The activity had the aim of testing the safety and intervention procedures in the event of an accident within the tunnel, checking the coordination between the different bodies involved and the full functionality of the technological management and control systems, as well as consolidating the interinstitutional cooperation necessary in the event of real events.
The periodic exercises, carried out in collaboration with prefectures and local authorities, constitute an integral part of the prevention and training activities provided for by the emergency plans.
