An oral notice – issued by the Quaestor of Catanzaro – against a 19 year old resident of Lamezia Terme held responsible for an episode of “Mirror Scam”, consumed in the provincial territory against a poor unfortunate.
The provision, whose investigation was taken care of by the anti -crime division of the Police Headquarters, was adopted after the arrest of the scammer in the act of crime, following a report made by the victim.
The young man had approached the motorist by imposing on him the damage to his rear -view mirror. To avoid the formal dispute of the damage, the 19 -year -old had requested the offended party to be compensated immediately on the spot with a sum of money that was then actually found in his possession. After the arrest, the subject was then placed in freedom by the judicial authority.
The oral notice issued has the aim of formally admonishing the recipient, deemed dangerous for public safety, to keep a conduct in accordance with the law, with the warning that the reiteration of similar behaviors may involve the application of more heavy measures such as aggravated oral notice, the prevention measure of special surveillance and the imposition of particular prohibitions and prescriptions.
