The reactivation of two magnetic resonances in Messina and Lipari imminent. This was announced by the strategic direction of the ASP of Messina led by Giuseppe Cuccì.
For the magnetic resonance imaging destined for the Messina Centro headquarters, purchased in 2021, during the final test stages a loss of helium was detected, a fundamental gas for the correct functioning of the machinery.
“The manufacturer and the executing company are implementing the indispensable instrumental interventions. The equipment will be fully operational and at the service of citizens within seven days from the start of the technical intervention”. News also for the magnetic resonance imaging of the Lipari hospital, previously in use in Messina Centro, transferred to the island before the installation of the new tomographer almost two years ago. Also in this case, the process for its reactivation has come to an end. The latest calibration procedures are being completed. Will enter into operation by the end of this week. “We are aware of the discomfort caused to citizens – writes the ASP – and we are dedicating the utmost attention and every resource available to ensure that so important diagnostic services are finally accessible from the capital to the islands”.
