A vast plantation of Indian hemp was identified and destroyed by the Carabinieri of the Palmi Company, with the support of the Eliportato Squadron Cacciatori di Calabria and the 8th helicopter nucleus.
The cultivation, hidden in the woods of the Aspromonte Reggino, was made up of mature and ready -made plants. Agricultural tools and water pumps were found nearby, a sign of a structured organization.
According to estimates, the harvest could have generated an illicit profit of hundreds of thousands of euros, fueling the drug market in the Reggio and beyond.
In recent months, the contrast activity has intensified in mountain and rural areas, where illegal crops often find refuge. Several operations have already led to significant seizures, confirming the commitment of the police in the fight against drug trafficking.
