The preliminary hearing opened today against Cole Tomas Allen, the man arrested for the attack that occurred last Saturday during the White House correspondents’ gala dinner. A very high tension event which also saw President Donald Trump among the participants. As reported by CNN, this is Allen’s first official appearance before the judges after Saturday’s events. During the hearing, the man’s position worsened drastically with the formalization of the charges: Cole Tomas Allen was formally accused of attempting to assassinate the president of the United States.
Additional charges will be filed against Allen. This is what Washington District Attorney Janine Pirro announced during a press conference.
