The president of Confidi Calabria Pasquale Nigro was indicted with the accusations of fraudulent bankruptcy, tax crimes and embezzlement. The investigating judge of Cosenza has ordered that the trial is celebrated before the Court of Cosenza, in collegial composition, with the first hearing set on 25 November 2025. The current president of Confidi Calabria, defended by the lawyers Amelia Ferrari and Eugenio Naccarato, is also accused in the quality of administrator of a company that later failed. The news is the lawyer Vincenzo Adamo, defender of the members of the Good Food Srl who in 2021 had denounced Nigro for lack of accounting documents. Later, always according to the accusation, they were provided by the accused false accounting documents. The amount of the passive mass found by the bankruptcy trustee is over 700,000 euros. In addition, Nigro is accused of fiscal and embezzlement to the detriment of his own confidi from which, according to the charge, he would have withdrawn about 500,000 euros.
