Hospitals of Barcelona and Milazzo without diagnostics: Alarm of the Hon. Tommaso Calderone that highlights the presence of vetuste and spoiled equipment for months: “Unacceptable situation, it is needed immediate intervention”, warns Calderone, which speaks of “total paralysis that weighs on the citizens of the Tyrrhenian area of Messina”. This is the picture traced by the President of the Bicameral Parliamentary Commission for the fight against the disadvantages deriving from insularity, which in a letter addressed to the regional health councilor, Daniela Faraone, and to the president of the Region, Renato Schifani, denounces the serious critical issues that affect the Presidia of Barcelona and Milazzo.
The situation, he writes, remains firm despite the reassurances received at the end of August by the leaders of Sicilian health. At the “Fogliani” in Milazzo continues not to be operational, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, essential for timely diagnosis in different clinical areas. Likewise, the “Cutroni Zodda” in Barcelona remains without the radiological service, for a failure of the RX machines that has not yet been resolved.
