The State Police notified a precautionary custody order, issued by the investigating judge of Palmi at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, against an Italian citizen of 39 years old. The man is held responsible, together with a 37 -year -old accomplice – recipient of other coercive measure performed by the carabinieri of Taurianova – of a robbery that took place on 28 December at a supermarket in Siderno.
Around 6pm of that day, in fact, two individuals passed off with hoods and balaclavas, one of which armed with a gun, broke into the store. After heading to the coffers and having managed to force them by stealing about 1,130 euros, they threatened the employees present generating panic among customers.
Thanks to the accurate analysis of the video surveillance images and the use of Interforce databases, the investigators of the Siderno police station managed to reconstruct the journey carried out by the robbers, who had made use of a rental car. The crossing of the collected data made it possible to go up to identity.
