An operation aimed at contrasting irregular work was conducted to Panarea by the inspectors of the Supervisory Office of the INPS headquarters of Messina, coordinated by the Regional Directorate of the Institute. The seven investigations carried out, also on the basis of the declarations made by the workers at the time of access, brought out the presence of eight “in black” workers and, in some cases, the performance of a number of hours of work greater than the declared and registered one. The irregularities that emerged during the checks led to the recovery of the sums due by way of contributions and not paid, as well as the imposition of administrative penalties for an amount equal to about fifteen thousand euros and the cancellation of two illegitimate insurance positions.
