From the early hours of the day, the wooded team of the Fire Brigade of the Command of Catanzaro – headquarters – with the support of a tanker for water supply, is engaged in Cutruzzo in the municipality of Borgia (CZ) for a fire of vegetation.
The flames have affected a wooded area and low Mediterranean scrub, propagating up to touch a farmhouse in the area. The firefighters are operating relentlessly to circumscribe the fire front and guarantee the protection of the accommodation and the people present.
Considering the extension of the fire, the support of the air fleet of the State Fleet has been requested. On the spot, a DOS (director of the shutdown operations) of the Fire Brigade coordinates the activities of the earth teams and the operations of the Canadair engaged in water launches on the area.
