The botulinum bacterium sows terror in the area of the Tyrrhenian Cosentino. The banal consumption of sandwiches with sausage and broccoli caused a dead man and four intoxicated people. The sandwiches were purchased by the victims by a renowned street vendor – “from Peppino” -, operating for some time, with a van, on the north waterfront of Diamante, in Viale Glauco. It would have been the broccoli in oil, therefore, to have conveyed the botulinum spores.
