There are no more municipal councilors and therefore the civic assembly must be dissolved. This is what happens in Cutro where a burst of resignation of the councilors made the number of members of the assembly drop to 7 out of 16. Number below the minimum threshold foreseen for regular operation. The situation does not allow subrogation, since in the 2022 elections only one list, people for Cutro, with candidate for mayor Antonio Ceraso, and all the candidates were elected were presented.

What initially appeared as a strong point for the first citizen has turned into a boomerang: since the end of 2023, in fact, a fracture inside the majority has questioned the management of the first citizen. In the last few days the resignation have multiplied: on August 12 they had left the commissioner for agriculture Vincenzo Andreoli, the councilor for the budget Maria Teresa Stirparo and the Prime Minister Piero Lorenzano; Before even, there were the resignation of Sara Brugnano (18 July) and Chiarella Muto (7 August) who had weakened the government team. To these recent resignation are added those resigned in 2024 by Rocco Curcio, which however had already transited the opposition. With 10 councilors in office, the advice could have been going on, but today Damiano Aiello, Elisa Parrotta (both of Fratelli d’Italia) and Pietro Le Piane (Forza Italia), three councilors who had passed to the majority had passed to the opposition for views opposed to those of the mayor, could present their resignation. With only seven councilors who remained faithful to Ceraso, the dissolution of the assembly is inevitable. In fact, with these numbers, the reduction of the city council is determined less than half of its components (7 out of 16), a case for which the dissolution is provided. Now the prefecture of Crotone will have to proceed with the commissioner of the Body and the convocation of early elections.
