A normal control along the state road 106, in the stretch that crosses Torre Melissa, has turned into a seizure operation. The financiers of the Provincial Command of Crotone have in fact stopped a vehicle full of 70 LPG cylinders, for a total weight of over 950 kilos. What could have seemed regular transport has proved to be much more.

The soldiers of Cirò Marina’s lieutenant discovered that the cylinders traveled without the necessary documentation, indispensable to certify their origin and guarantee safety. Not only that: the sigi affixed were not compliant with those prescribed and the labeling was incomplete, an evident sign of a destination for illegal trade.

Behind those cylinders, therefore, there was not only a problem of bureaucracy: transport represented a concrete danger, because the lack of certifications puts at risk not only consumers but also those who work in the sector, exposing everyone to the risk of fires and explosions.

At the end of the checks, the legal representative of the company involved was reported to the judicial authority on charges of fraud on the market, undue appropriation and sale of industrial products with false signs. The operation confirms the constant commitment of the Guardia di Finanza in the garrison of the territory and in the protection of collective security, in connection with the Public Prosecutor of Crotone, led by the prosecutor Domenico Guarascio.
