The Civil Protection reports a ‘yellow’ alert for today, 16 December 2025, throughout the province of Reggio Calabria. The bulletin was issued due to a disturbance that will lead to a gradual worsening of weather conditions, with scattered to widespread rainfall. Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection – in agreement with the regions involved, which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the affected territories – has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions.
From the first hours widespread rainfall, including showers or thunderstorms, on the southern slopes and Ionian sectors. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.
