The election campaign comes alive in Calabria in view of the regional elections on Sunday 5 and Monday 6 October. On the one hand, the survey data that see Occhiuto ahead of Tridic (with different scissors compared to what was collected by SWG and IPSOS). One of the themes that are affecting the debate is that also linked to the possible high abstention and the relatively very high uncertainty of the Calabrian electorate.
Also for these reasons from now on from Pollino to the Strait the big names of national politics will arrive in support of the candidates on the pitch.
Waiting to understand how the center -right will be organized with a perhaps unitary event in support of Occhiuto scheduled a few days before the vote (in Lamezia), today, Sunday 21 September, the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein is expected in Cosenza. Appointment in San Giovanni in Fiore at 16.45 (Piazzale Ospedale) and then in Cosenza (Piazza Kennedy) at 18:30 with the slogan “Returning to live in Calabria”.
The second day of the election tour
But tomorrow, Monday 22, the Dem Secretary will also touch other centers: in Soveria Mannelli (visit to the Lanificeo Leo and to the Rubbettino publishing house) from 9.30, Vibo Valentia (Hospital – Piazza Fleming) from 11.30, Rosarno (Casa del Popolo Valarioti – Via Elvethia 8) from 3pm and Lamezia Terme (Piazzetta San Domenico) at 5 pm.
