A monthly contribution of up to 300 euros to support Calabrian families in difficulty in paying the rent. It is the heart of the “A home for all” project, presented in Cittadella by the regional councilor for Welfare Pasqualina Straface, at the instigation of president Roberto Occhiuto.

The initiative, aimed at people with economic fragility and housing hardship, was shared with the representatives of the Social Territorial Areas (ATS), identified as the implementers of the measure.

9 million for housing continuity

The overall financial allocation is 9 million euros, based on the Calabria 2021/2027 regional programming. The contribution can reach up to 300 euros per month, with a supplement of 50 euros for households in which there are people with disabilities pursuant to law 104/1990. The amount will however be commensurate with the actual rent.

“The home is not just a physical place, but the prerequisite for stability and social integration”, underlined Straface, highlighting how the intervention is not just economic support but a path of active inclusion.

Who can apply

Residents or those domiciled in Calabria with a regularly registered rental contract (excluding cadastral categories A1, A8 and A9), ISEE not exceeding 17 thousand euros, not assignees of public housing and not owners of properties for residential use in the region can access the contribution. Recipients of the inclusion allowance who receive only quota A are also eligible.

Applications can be submitted only after the publication of the notices by the individual Ats, following the signing of the agreement with the regional social inclusion and welfare department. There are no refunds for monthly payments already paid.

Mandatory active inclusion

The Municipalities will activate, through social services, inclusion paths such as Projects useful to the community. Participation will be a necessary condition to obtain and maintain the contribution.
