The relative ranking of the public notice “SRE01 – Settlement of young farmers”, as part of the CSR Calabria 2023/2027 – Strategic Program of the CAP 2023-2027, has been approved.
With executive decree no. 1236/2026, the Agriculture Department arranged for the admission to financing of all beneficiaries whose applications were eligible for a total amount of 44,462,585.51 euros, fully using the resources made available and indeed increasing them in line with the overall budget of the SRE01 intervention, which amounts to 70,000,000 euros. The initial allocation of the Notice was in fact 40 million euros.
“The SRE01 intervention – specifies the regional councilor for Agriculture Gianluca Gallo – represents one of the strategic measures of the Calabria Region to encourage generational turnover, support youth entrepreneurship in agriculture and strengthen the competitiveness of the regional agricultural system, encouraging the start-up of new businesses and innovation in rural areas”.
“With the approval of the ranking of the SRE01 Notice – continues the representative of the Occhiuto Council – the Region takes a concrete step in supporting young people who choose to invest their future in agriculture. We have worked to find further resources and guarantee the financing of all admitted applications, because we believe that generational turnover is a fundamental lever for sustainable development, the modernization of agricultural companies and the valorisation of our rural areas. Investing in young people means investing in the future of the Calabria, A new tender with ministerial funding will be launched shortly – Councilor Gallo finally informs – and immediately after another with community resources. The aim is to reach the number of at least one thousand new young people encouraged.
