The Calabria Region has approved the provisional ranking of the support applications presented as part of the SRE.01 “Settlement of young farmers” intervention of the Regional Strategic Complement (Csr) Calabria 2023-2027, part of the Strategic Plan of the CAP 2023-2027.
The public notice, expiring on 31 July 2025 and with a total financial allocation of 40 million euros, aims to support the start-up and consolidation of new agricultural businesses led by young people under 41, strengthening the competitiveness of the sector and encouraging generational turnover in the Calabrian countryside.
The Councilor for Agriculture of the Calabria Region, Gianluca Gallo, underlined how “in just three months from the closing of the tender we arrived at the definition of the provisional ranking: a result that testifies to the efficiency and operation of the regional department. It is a sign of competence and organization that allows us to offer rapid and concrete responses to young people who choose to invest in the Calabrian agricultural sector. With the approval of this ranking, the Region confirms its commitment to valorising the human and innovative capital of the primary sector, supporting the creation of new modern, sustainable and competitive agricultural companies”.
