The definitive ranking relating to the public notice was published for interventions aimed at the protection of agricultural crops and stabulated farms, as part of measure 4-intervention 4.1.1 “Investments in farms” of the PSR Calabria 2014-2022.
This is an important measure that supports direct investments to the modernization and innovation of Calabrian agricultural enterprises, with particular attention to the interventions intended to protect the crops and the zootechnical heritage from the damage caused by adverse atmospheric and wildlife, as well as to guarantee high standards of biosyphicity in the farms.
The approved definitive ranking includes 632 questions that can be allowed and financed, confirming a large interest by the regional agricultural sector. The success of the measure was also made possible thanks to a total financial allocation of 39 million euros, made up of the 22 million initially allocated, increased with additional 17 million made available following the remodeling of the resources of the PSR Calabria, managed by the Arcea payer body.
“We strongly wanted this intervention – declares the regional councilor for agriculture, Gianluca Gallo – Because it responds to a real need of the territory and agricultural entrepreneurs, increasingly exposed to the effects of climate change and the pressure of wildlife. The high number of admitted questions and the expansion of the financial endowment demonstrate our desire to accompany the agricultural sector along a path of modernization, sustainability and competitiveness “.
Intervention 4.1.1 aims to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of farms, encouraging investments that affect the environmental resilience, the efficiency of agronomic practices and the protection of ecosystem services in a concrete way. The actions financed aim not only to the physical protection of crops – such as full -field vegetables, arboreti, vineyards, olive groves and arable land – but also to the structural and health defense of the stabulated farms, in particular for the livestock companies recorded with at least 20 UBA (unit of adult livestock) in the national database of the zootechnical registry.
