A Calabrian delegation of the Italian Left-AVS will meet tomorrow, Wednesday 19 August at 7 pm, in the historic center of Cariati, Luigi Pantisano, co-president of Linke, the formation of the German left.
Pantisano, former deputy of Stuttgart and son of emigrants from Cariati Marina, was recently elected to lead the party. After his election, the Calabrian leaders of the Italian Left sent him congratulations through Giuseppe Liguori, leader of Oriolo’s party active in Germany, also proposing the organization of a meeting.
The meeting in the historic center
Sinistra Italiana underlines its closeness with the political project of the Linke led by Pantisano, focused on the themes of work, the social question, rents, the climate, anti-racism, redistribution and the welfare state.
The delegation that will take part in the meeting will be composed of the regional secretary Fernando Pignataro, Maria Pia Funaro, member of the regional secretariat, and Angelo Broccolo, member of the party’s National Assembly.
