The two children of 3 and 4 years old, children of a 28 -year -old Romanian town residing in Castrovillari, arrested last September 10 by the carabinieri, have been well and are fine. The little ones, who had aroused strong concern at the time of the mother’s detention, are in fact in Romania, entrusted to the care of the maternal grandmother.
The woman, recipient of a prison order issued by the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro, must serve 6 years and 6 months of imprisonment following a definitive sentence of the Romanian judicial authority.
When the military showed up at his home to stop, the 28 -year -old was alone and did not provide any information on the fate of the two children, maintaining absolute silence. The reticent attitude pushed the carabinieri to report it to the Public Prosecutor of Castrovillari for the hypotheses of crime of abandonment and subtraction of minors.
Thanks to the immediate investigations, coordinated by the Prosecutor of Castrovillari, it was possible to quickly ascertain the real situation: the two children had not been abandoned but already conducted in Romania, where today they live safely with the grandmother.
The story, which had aroused great alarm, therefore ended with the happy ending for the minors, while the prison doors opened for the mother.
