“The IMU recovery that the Mayor talks about on his social media post on Sunday does not correspond to the truth”. This is the comment of the Action council group, which presented an amendment proposed by Stefano Veraldi, Gianni Parisi and Valerio Donato to the budget change being discussed today in the City Council.
“After our proposal not to outsource the IMU assessment service which the Mayor and his council had instead decided to outsource with zero hope of recovery today – writes the Action group – a significant result was obtained: a greater structural income of at least 700/800 euros. With the budget change under discussion at the next Council, only 500 were prudentially included but however destined for greater charges for the electricity service and greater public charges. We believe that the city has other priorities and therefore we have filed a specific amendment which envisages allocating this increased revenue to the maintenance of water pipes (unblocking the pipes that act as a rainwater collection system using Autospurgo); funds intended for young couples who intend to settle in the historic city centre, and the remaining part for ISTAT increases to be paid to Catanzaro Servizi employees for the year 2026”.
