The death of Carlotta La Croce, the 12 -year -old who died at the hospital of Catanzaro after having waited for two hours the ambulance that transferred it from that of Soverato, took place following a cardiovascular arrest caused by an aortic dissemination. This is what the coroner, Isabella Aquila, which this morning, at the disposal of the Catanzaro prosecutor, carried out the autopsy on the body of the girl who died on the night between 26 and 27 July, established.
The autopsy also witnessed Katiuscia needs, part of the part appointed by the parents – defended by the lawyer Arturo Bova – who in recent days have filed a complaint in the Prosecutor to ascertain any medical responsibilities in the death.

According to what emerged at the outcome of the autoptic examination, a vascular pathology was caused to cause the child’s death. The coroner also performed further exams on the samples taken which will be analyzed in the next few days.
In particular, the complaint aims to understand whether the delays registered in the transfer phase of the twelve year old from the hospital of Soverato, where he received the first medical treatments, at the hospital of Catanzaro they contributed to causing the death. According to what was reconstructed by the family lawyer, the ambulance in charge of transport would have taken about two hours to get from Maida to the hospital. The Catanzaro prosecutor has opened an investigation file for manslaughter.
The funeral will take place on Thursday 31 July at 5.30 pm at the Amphitheater of Amaroni.
