With the arrival of 2026, Catanzaro will see the start of the activities of the social farm that the Municipality and the social cooperative Lab, chaired by Guido Mignolli, have imagined and which will become a reality thanks to the support of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Foundation.
The project – which the Southern Gazette had already illustrated in August – it was presented yesterday and represents an innovation at national level in the approach to the concept of social enterprise and the public-private partnership model. Francesca Sofia, general director of the Foundation, said it clearly: «We are launching a model that not only links the economic support offered to a project to the achievement of concrete results, but paves the way for a new conception of social finance in the country. It is a way of operating that puts impact at the center and fuels a virtuous circle in favor of inclusion, dignity and future prospects for the most fragile people.”
