The center -left is almost halfway through the work. With the green light in Tuscany at the race of the outgoing governor Eugenio Giani (Pd), on seven regions to the vote in the autumn there are already three candidates: there are also Matteo Ricci (Pd) in the Marche and Giovanni Manildo (Pd) in Veneto. For now, the Largo field alliance holds in all competitions. The negotiations between the allies are now concentrated in the South. The situations that appear more complex are the Calabrian and Apulian ones. The first for the narrow times: the outgoing president of the center -right Roberto Occhiuto, fresh from resignation and running for the encore, could set the vote already for October 12 or even for September 28.
A way to put the center -left in difficulty, which is still building the coalition and rose of candidates. Even if he took a step forward the Pasquale Tridico hypothesis. The M5S MEP, who had been refractory so far, in an interview with La Stampa has opened a glimmer: “I am Calabrian, I love my land – he said – I hope this region can be redeemed and I want to make a contribution”.

In the center -right, for now the draws do not take off: “I would also be ready tomorrow morning – said Salvini – however, as Minister of Transport, the month of August is much less vacationer for me than that of others”. The secretary of the League then returned to claim the candidate in Veneto: «It is clear that team that wins does not change. The reasoning will thus be in the Marche region and was thus in the other regions administered by the center -right ». The last rock passed by the center -left was Giani’s candidacy: first he obtained the support of the M5S, with an online vote, and then the official assignment from the regional direction of the Democratic Party. The five -star consultation served to unlock a stalemate due to the “strong contrast” in the local party between the favorable and against the agreement with the Democratic Party. In the end the “yes” prevailed with 59%. But the bad moods did not go out: the M5S group in the city council in Livorno announced that “together with the territorial group” it will make “the appropriate assessments” on the support for Giani.
