An area of about five thousand square meters, occupied by authorization -free bathing establishments and an abusive parking for a fee, was seized by the Guardia di Finanza in Baia di Riaci, a suggestive beach of Ricadi, in the Vibonese, one of the most beautiful in the entire Costa degli Dei. In particular, as part of the summer strengthening device aimed at protecting the environmental heritage in the main tourist resorts of the province of Vibo Valentia, the staff of the Provincial Command and the Air Force Operational Department of Vibo Valentia, with the help of technicians from the Municipality of Ricadi, carried out several control operations on the correct use of the Maritime State Property in Baia di Recaci.
The seized area is subjected to landscape constraints, but the bathing establishments without any authorization have been built on the same. Inside the area there were also buildings anchored to the ground, a van used as bars and other means used as deposits, as well as various bathing equipment. There were also 200 sun beds, in addition to 150 umbrellas and various bathing equipment, located on the beach. The area was thus immediately freed from the illegally placed bathing furnishings and returned to the regular use of the community. Finally, in the bathing establishments discovered several workers completely in black.
