The controls of the traffic police along the Ionian belt of Calabria continue, intensified in recent weeks also for the increase in summer traffic. The budget of the weekend just passed has seen two people reported and arrested thanks to the activity of the operators of the Trebisacce detachment.
Stopped with a weapon and without a license
In recent days, during a road check, the agents stopped a vehicle conducted by a man already known to the police. Inside the passenger compartment, a wooden rod with iron head was found, considered potentially dangerous and for which the man was referred to the judicial authority for unjustified port of an object aimed at offending. The investigations revealed that the man was devoid of the driving license, revoked, and that the vehicle was without insurance. The vehicle was then subjected to administrative detention with confiscation.
The car thief arrested thanks to the report of a citizen
A patrol in service, however, was alerted by a citizen who had just suffered the theft of his car. Thanks to the detailed description of the vehicle provided by the victim, the agents located the vehicle and blocked the manager within a few minutes. The man was arrested for aggravated theft.
