A minority councilor in the Municipality of Vibo Valentia was attacked yesterday morning while a meeting of the first council commission was underway. According to what was learned, a young man, a regular visitor to the classroom, approached the woman, inviting her to leave the classroom and then pulling her towards the corridor.
The man, according to some testimonies, continued to have a “threatening” attitude.
The screams attracted the attention of some councillors, one of whom intervened to stop what was happening. At the moment no complaints have been filed, but the mayor of Vibo Valentia Enzo Romeo has already taken action by reporting the matter to the municipal police to carry out investigations.
According to some testimonies, there were other moments of strong tension between the councilor and the man in the past, including at the entrance to the Town Hall and what happened did not originate from political motivations.
