A bad road accident created major traffic problems along State Road 106 “Jonica” this morning, until around 11.30 when traffic began to flow regularly again. The accident, which involved three vehicles, occurred at kilometer 193.080, near the municipal area of Simeri Crichi, in the province of Catanzaro.
To allow rescue operations and the safety of the roadway, Anas has ordered the temporary closure of the affected section. Anas teams, the fire brigade and the carabinieri promptly intervened on site to investigate the case and manage traffic.
Traffic suffered severe disruption, with diversions reported on site along the secondary road network.
