The high -impact operations aimed at contrasting youth crime, conducted by the State Police from 22 August throughout the national territory, ended yesterday.
These extraordinary checks, also carried out in the province of Catanzaro by the local mobile team, with the support of UPGSP staff, have affected the places of greatest turnout of both Italian and non -EU citizens.
The activities, coordinated by the central operating service and supported by several crews of the crime prevention departments and territorial offices, concerned young people mainly, in a group or individually, to crimes against the person, the heritage or in the field of drugs and weapons as well as responsible for illegal behavior that also lead to forms of discrimination and hatred.
In particular, the investigations also carried out through the monitoring of the web and the subsequent activity consisting of targeted checks and searches carried out in the main places where there is the presence of minors and just adults related to the reported context, have made it possible to achieve the following results at national level:
• 62,822 people were identified, of which 10,605 minors, especially in areas of drug dealing, “nightlife” CDs, shopping centers, shops and bathing establishments. Out of 160 checks are underway for the possible start of the procedures for the adoption of prevention measures, including the ban on access to urban areas;
• They were arrested or subjected to the detention of suspect of crime 283 adults, for crimes against the person, the heritage, in the field of drugs and illegal detention;
• They were arrested or subjected to the detention of a suspect of 22 minors for crimes against the person and the heritage, drug dealing and illegal possession of weapons;
• precautionary custody orders were carried out in prison and under house arrest, orders for the execution of the sentence and European arrest mandates against 81 adults and placement orders at minorial institutes of punishment against 6 minors as well as stay at home against a minor;
• 1,110 adults and 180 minors for crimes against the person, the heritage, in the field of drugs and illegal possession of weapons were reported in a state of freedom;
• 829 properties were checked, including 58 reception structures for unaccompanied foreign minors, 136 games rooms and 464 shops;
• Kg 19 kg of cocaine, kg 1 of heroin and kg 79 of cannabinoids were seized as well as quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances including shaboo, ecstasy, mdma and benzodiazepine, together with different precision balances;
• 2 rifles were seized, 36 pistols and ammunition of different caliber;
• 89 knives and several objects designed to offend or suitable for the
Commission of crimes against the person and the heritage, including 2 Katane, 1 baseball bat, 1 telescopic baton, 2 flaking sticks, 1 metal stick, 1 metal pitches, 1 bomb of stinging spray, 2 hammers, 2 tasers, a bicycle chain, 1 balaclavas and several cutlers and tools -based tools;
• Numerous theft of theft were recovered, especially gold necklaces, jewelry, watches and cell phones, and seized false banknotes, ATMs and stolen or counterfeit identity documents as well as a counterfeit card of the Guardia di Finanza;
• 425 administrative penalties of different nature have been raised, in particular for the use of drugs and administration of alcoholic beverages;
• 1,300 social profiles were monitored, of which 5 floods with hatred and violence
physical, also against belonging to the police forces, as well as the use of firearms and cuts, which will be reported to the competent judicial authorities for any obscuration.
Some of the young people involved belong to groups attributable to the so -called “maranza”.
