The Guardia di Finanza of Catanzaro has concluded a control activity on compliance with tax and administrative rules by extra-hotel accommodation facilities in the summer.
Obligation of national identification code
The military of the Compagnia di Soverato have verified the application of the new obligation to register and exposure of the national identification code (Cin), which came into force from 1 January 2025 to guarantee transparency and contrast irregular leases.
Through the monitoring of online ads and checks in the area, 22 structures have been identified between bed and breakfast and holiday homes in Soverato, Montepaone, Davoli, Satriano, Badolato and San Supporte, without the code or without the correct exposure. The violations led to total pecuniary penalties of up to 150 thousand euros, which will be paid to municipalities and intended for interventions on tourism and waste.
Omission of communications on guests
In 9 structures, further irregularities emerged relating to the failure to send guests’ data to the “Web Hostest” database, as required by the Consolidated Public Security Text. In these cases the owners have been reported to the judicial authority.
The criminal proceeding is still in the preliminary investigation phase: the responsibility of the suspects can only be ascertained with a definitive sentence.
