The activity of the Cosenza Police Headquarters continues to protect vulnerable victims. Since the beginning of July, the commissioner of the province of Cosenza, Dr Giuseppe Cannizzaro, has issued 9 new warning measures against subjects believed to be responsible for persecutory acts and domestic violence. These are, in detail, 5 measures pursuant to art. 8 paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 11/2009 and 4 pursuant to art. 3 of Legislative Decree 93/2013, already notified to the interested parties. The new warnings are added to the 70 adopted in the first half of 2025.
At the same time, the specialized personnel of the State Police Anti -Crime Division has identified further subjects for whom personal prevention measures have been activated, both typical and atypical. In particular, these are people whose lifestyle and conduct make you believe that they also partially experience illegal income or are dedicated to the commission of crimes capable of undermining public safety and tranquility.
In this regard, the Quaestor issued, in July, 5 oral notice measures – which bring to 125 the total since the beginning of the year – and signed 2 proposals for special public security surveillance, thus reaching 19 overall proposals in 2025.
The strengthening of the control of the territory continues, in particular in some sensitive areas of the city of Cosenza such as that of Autolinee. The activities are conducted with the competition of the flying teams, the mobile team, the provincial scientific police cabinet and the state police camper. The latter is an integral part of the national campaign “… this is not love”, promoted against gender violence.
The State Police reiterates that anyone who is in situations of discomfort or danger can turn with confidence to the specialized operators of the Police Headquarters, to receive support and protection.
