A distraction prevents Cosenza from adding the three points for the second consecutive match. At the “D’Angelo”, the rossoblù only managed a draw. The Sila team are bitter about the goal they conceded after breaking the deadlock in a complicated match and about a couple of decisions by the refereeing team. Fvs continues to leave too many doubts in the Serie C championship.
Ricciardi’s absence forced Buscè to slightly revise his plans. The coach brought Kevin Cannavò back from the bench, who had played for the last time as a starter against Atalanta Under 23. D’Orazio instead replaced D’Orazio.
Altamura confirmed that they are a tough opponent. The red and whites occupied the spaces in a disciplined manner. In the first half, Cosenza tried to threaten only once with Cannavò, but Viola kept good guard in the 35th minute. The Wolves struggled to find the opportunity to undermine the Apulians until half-time. During the second half, some more opportunities opened up for the Sila but the refereeing decisions did not make Buscè and his bench happy (so much so that team manager Perna was sent off). In particular, the images did not fully clarify Florenzi’s offside in the 20th minute; action in which Cosenza expressed itself vertically, reaching the Sardinian who, after returning to the right, put the ball on the far post. Pizzi reiterated his choice even after the FVS. The rossoblù found the lead eleven minutes from the end when Kouan threw himself headlong into a long ball, dribbled past Poli with a sombrero and then made it 0-1 with a shot to the near post. The effect of the marking made by the Ivorian remained valid until eight minutes from the finish line. Altamura, on one of the sporadic occasions in which it kicked towards Vettorel, found gold with a shot from Florio following a rebound from Vettorel on a cross from the midfield. Cosenza could have won the match in full injury time. D’Orazio, however, also thanks to Viola’s excellent intervention, did not exploit – from a few steps away – Mangia’s gift from the rearguard.
