The Disciplinary Section of the CSM has suspended from duties and salary a 35-year-old criminal judge of the Court of Cosenza, a former police commissioner who entered service a year ago. As reported by Corriere della Sera, the provision follows the complaint of an 18-year-old: the magistrate would have accompanied her in a car on the street, addressing her obscene phrases and, according to the accusation, showing her his genitals.
The judge, under investigation in Salerno for obscene acts in a public place and harassment, admits inappropriate verbal behavior but denies the exhibition of the genitals. The CSM accepted the precautionary request of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court to protect the prestige of the judiciary. The magistrate will appeal.
