Cosenza coach Federico Coppitelli met the press. In the conference room of the Villa Fabiano Palace Hotel in Rende, the coach provided a summary of the team’s first activities in view of the Trenitalia Crotone-Cosenza Regional Serie C Italian Cup match. «In my career – said the rossoblù coach, answering questions from the journalists present – I have always embraced challenges with enthusiasm. I am a can-do man and I had no hesitation in accepting the job with Cosenza Calcio. I knew the situation and the potential of the club. It is a reality that has played football at an excellent level with teams that, in terms of investments and technical value, were at the top of the category last year.”

«We don’t want to have a banal championship»

«We don’t want to have a banal championship. Last year Cosenza Calcio came from Serie B – Coppitelli recalled – and had maintained more or less the same structure. Today we are setting up a competitive and credible team for the work that is being done with the staff. We are certain that he will be able to give satisfaction and do well. I expect our commitment to emerge and the spirit of the boys to be felt. We had a good retreat, despite some slowdowns. The Italian Cup match will help us understand if we have set the right path for the new squad.”

Mister Coppitelli does not accept alibis

«Not having the stadium to play at home will be a problem, but I don’t accept excuses: Cosenza must give their all. For now I can’t say that it is a factor that is affecting performance. A cycle is closing – the Wolves coach clarified – there is no dismantling of Cosenza in progress. A line had to be drawn and we did it. Of the “great” players we have Ciotti, Emmausso, Dametto, D’Alena who are important players for us, alongside other strong players like Dalmazzi who has just arrived from Sambenedettese. We are putting together a squad that can entertain and have fun. We are very motivated.”

Defenders Dalmazzi and Pascalau arrive from the transfer market

The Bruzio club announces the transfer of the rights to Alessandro Dalmazzi’s sporting performances from US Sambenedettese. The Tuscan defender, born in 1994, signed an annual contract with the rossoblù club today. The agreement expires on June 30, 2027, but with an option. Dalmazzi moved to Sambenedettese in the summer of 2025, where he made numerous appearances in group B of Serie C, demonstrating solidity and continuity. The arrival of Dalmazzi represents a significant addition to the defensive department of Cosenza Calcio. The new player has already joined the Wolves training at San Vito-Marulla. The club welcomes Alessandro and wishes him to achieve brilliant results with the rossoblù team. Come on wolves.

The arrival of defender Razvan Pascalau. The 22-year-old Romanian has signed a two-year agreement with the rossoblù club, until 30 June 2028. From 2020 to 2024 he played in the Lecce Primavera, winning the scudetto for the 2022/2023 season under the guidance of coach Federico Coppitelli.
