A hectic evening. It ended with a physical confrontation between two foreigners and the stabbing of one of the two contenders. It happened on the street, in the area of Via Popilia, where a Bulgarian was injured with some “razors” by a Romanian with whom he had entered into conflict for trivial reasons. Witnessing the scene was a woman, also Romanian, who called for help, resulting in the intervention of the flying squad patrols, directed by Roberta Martire.
The injured man was transported to the Annunziata hospital for treatment. The doctors ordered him to be admitted to hospital but his life is not in danger. The attacker and the woman were identified and interrogated by the police of the police commissioner Antonio Borelli. The stabber from the Carpathian country said he had been attacked by the wounded man while the woman, despite having alerted the police, declared that she had not seen anything and was not able to reconstruct what happened. From the testimonies collected at the site of the stabbing, however, it would seem that the protagonists of the affair had made extensive use of alcoholic substances. If this were the case, the probable state of alteration of the attacked and the aggressor could have played a crucial role in the violent developments of the affair
The investigating magistrates of the Bruzia prosecutor’s office are investigating the matter, coordinated by the chief prosecutor Vincenzo Capomolla. The reconstruction of events will allow magistrates to bring criminal charges against the stabber. The bladed weapon used to wound the Bulgarian, however, has not been found.
