The Guardia di Finanza of Crotone, following a report from the Aerial Section of Lamezia Terme, during a service aimed at the prevention and repression of crimes on drugs, identified and subjected to seizure, in the Columbra district of the Papanice hamlet of Crotone, a large cannabis plantation.
In particular, the green basques of the ready -to -use operational sections of the Crotone group, giving back to the report, discovered a plantation, hidden by high brambles and the dense surrounding vegetation, consisting of different plants with inflorescences in an advanced state of maturation, of which the majority over 3 meters high.
During the activity, the financiers also found a sophisticated system consisting of a servant tube a hydraulic compressor and an automatic irrigation timer that has allowed the growth of plants in total autonomy, cassettes used for the transport of marijuana, material for fertilization and an shoulder sprinkling pump for the spreading of pesticides. The amazing substance obtained from the plantation could have generated an illegal gain greater than 350,000 euros, through retail sale.
The reconnaissance, sampling and seizure activities were coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Crotone, directed by the Public Prosecutor – Dr. Domenico Guarascio.
The operation carried out, highlighting the profound synergy between the territorial and areonaval component of the body, underlines the constant commitment of the yellow flame to contrast the trafficking of drugs, a pernicious phenomenon which, in addition to causing damage to health, pollutes the country’s legal economy.
For this reason, the attention of the Guardia di Finanza has projection even in the most impervious and remote areas of the Crotone area, where illegal marijuana crustments can be more easily concealed. Specific investigative activities are underway to trace the managers of the offense found.
