With a tribute to Stevie Wonder tonight and a percussion show tomorrow the 2025 edition of the Kroton Jazz Festival will end. After the incredible success of the Summer Fest, who called thousands of people from all over Calabria on the Gramsci promenade, in these days Crotone is celebrating a real jazz party. The last two appointments will therefore be a sugello to a particular success edition.
Today, the Elena Welch Quintet is expected at the municipal villa. Elena Welch is an international, American artist who, however, lives in Italy and is among the most appreciated interpreters of jazz and blues. Also tonight, in the same location, the Fabrizio Bosso Quartet with Nico Gori will also perform at 10 pm, who will give life to a tribute to the musical genius of Stevie Wonder. Fabrizio Bosso’s quartet offers a real journey that embraces the period from the late 1960s to the last publication of 2004.
On the final evening, however, the Bandao who will perform on the city promenade from 10 pm will be a guest of the city. The band of percussion of Spanish origin was born in 1994 and has about 250 members today. His performances are all dedicated to percussion and Brazilian music.
The Crotonese Jazz Festival began on August 9 with the acoustic performance of Chiara Civello who literally enchanted the Villa Comunale, and saw its highlight yesterday evening with the performance of Salvatore Cauteruccio and his musical show “Around Piazzolla” and Alfredo Rodriguez Trio, Cuban pianist appreciated for the elegance of his music.
The Kroton Jazz Festival is not only a musical event, but also a flywheel for tourism and the local economy. The municipal administration, in fact, included it in the Crotone Summer 2025 billboard, together with other prominent events, to enhance the territory and promote the beauty of the city, as Sandro Cretella, vice mayor, who personally treated the entire program of summer events has repeatedly pointed out.
